Commuter Student

College is the time to take advantage of all that is offered on campus. You’ll be making friendships and connections that will last the rest of your life here, and we’re so excited to have you as a part of the Falcon Family!

How to Get Involved On Campus

Every week during the academic year, there are many different programs to add to your schedule or pop into when it works for you!

Events on campus happen at varying times throughout the day, but there are always daytime programs for students to take advantage of. These programs could involve free lunch, arts and crafts, relaxed hang-out events, or speakers.

Not only does SCC do programming initiatives for our commuter population, but clubs like the Campus Activities Board also make sure to have consistent programs during the school day for all students to take advantage of!

Student Commuter Council (SCC)

The Student Commuter Council (SCC) is a student-run organization on campus that aims to make the best possible experience for our commuter students. SCC does this by hosting events, social programs and working together to improve the commuter experience.

Getting to our campus in New Haven is pretty easy! We make sure to provide commuter students with multiple parking lots around campus that they can utilize for their own vehicles. All you need to do is register your car with our Public Safety office.

If you do not have your own transportation, there are a few other ways to get to campus

  • Transit/Yale Shuttles
  • We work with CTRides, which is under the Connecticut government umbrella, whose mission is to provide a better environmental impact while getting people to the places they still need to. Check out the CTRides app or head to their website for more info!
If you have questions or are interested in joining the Student Commuter Council, you can email SCC at commuters@albertus.edu.

Dan Hurley, the Coordinator for Student Engagement, the advisor for the Student Commuter Council, can be found in the Student Services Suite, room 102F. You can also reach Dan via email at dhurley@albertus.edu.
