The responsibility and purpose of the Office of Academic and Student Disability Services is to provide necessary and reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities to have equal access to all educational opportunities at Albertus Magnus College and to promote an inclusive campus community. The Office of Academic and Student Disability Services provides students, faculty, and staff with assistance and information on issues of student access to ensure full participation for students with disabilities.

How to Request and Access Accommodations
- As soon as possible, please contact the Office of Academic and Student Disability Services to schedule an Intake appointment.
- The Intake process will include discussion and identification of reasonable academic/other accommodations.
- Accommodations are not retroactive.

Albertus Magnus College does not offer specific academic programs for individuals with disabilities. However, Albertus recognizes its responsibility to provide reasonable accommodations to promote equal educational opportunity, and it is in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, hereafter referred to as ADA, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, hereafter referred to as Section 504. The ADA states:
"No individual shall be discriminated against on the basis of disability in the full and equal enjoyment of the goods, services, facilities, privileges, advantages, or accommodations of any place of public accommodation by any private entity who owns, leases (or leases to), or operates a place of public accommodation." (28 C.F.R. § 36.201a)
Section 504 states: "No otherwise qualified individual with a disability [...] shall, solely by reason of her or his disability, be excluded from the participation in, be denied benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance" (29 U.S.C. § 794).
