Students and Families
The process is simple, and we are here to guide you every step of the way. Here’s how to get started:
Start by checking with your high school to see which courses are available through Albertus’s Falcon Fast Track Program.
The location of your classes is determined by the agreement your high school has with Albertus Magnus College.
- Concurrent Enrollment: In-person at your high school.
- Dual Enrollment (On-Campus): In-person at Albertus Magnus College.
- Dual Enrollment (Online): Through Albertus eLearning.
- College Before College: Seniors with a 3.0 or higher can take a college class at Albertus and earn Albertus credit; just for college, not high school.
When you take courses through the Falcon Fast Track Program, the grades you earn become part of your official academic record at Albertus Magnus College. If you later choose to enroll at Albertus, these grades will count toward your GPA and be included in the calculation of your academic standing and financial aid eligibility.
Keep in mind that:
- Your high school transcript grade for the course may differ from your Albertus transcript grade, depending on your high school’s grading policy.
- While Albertus awards college credit for these courses, other colleges may not guarantee transfer credit or accept it for admissions purposes.
Please note: All policies and program details are reviewed annually and are subject to change.
Dual and Concurrent Enrollment
Once your high school has approved you to take a Falcon Fast Track course, complete the online application to apply and register for dual credit.
- Concurrent Enrollment: If you're taking a high school course for concurrent enrollment, registration must be completed by:
- September 25th for the fall semester
- February 15th for the spring semester
- Dual Enrollment (On-Campus and Online): Registration for on-campus and online courses at Albertus is due by:
- July 15th for the fall semester
- December 1st for the spring semester
Your high school will provide additional instructions on how to complete your registration.
College Before College
Seniors with a 3.0 or higher can take one course at Albertus Magnus College and earn college credit. This program provides valuable college experience and helps ease the transition from high school to college. To apply, complete the online application. You will need to submit a high school transcript, a brief essay on why you’re interested in Albertus, and a letter of recommendation from your guidance counselor. Registration is due by:
- July 15th for the fall semester
- December 1st for the spring semester
For more information, contact the Office of the Registrar.
Dual and Concurrent Enrollment
The fee per 3-credit course is $65. Each additional credit hour beyond 3-credits is assessed at $20. Albertus will waive all dual credit course tuition and fees for students who qualify for free or reduced-priced meals under the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP).
College Before College
College Before College students may take one 3-credit course at no cost. Albertus will waive all tuition for qualified students accepted into the program.
If your high school or district is not a Falcon Fast Track partner and you do not meet the qualifications for College Before College, you will be billed part-time tuition per credit. Contact the Office of the Registrar for more information, registrar@albertus.edu or (203) 773-8514.
With each class, you’re not just earning credits, you’re building your path to a successful college career.
Students enrolled in Falcon Fast Track concurrent courses held at their high school must follow the rules, guidelines, and expectations set by their school while participating in the program.
As a dual enrollment student at Albertus Magnus College, you have access to many of the same resources available to full-time college students. These include:
