Andrew Foster serves as the Vice President for Student Services, overseeing the Office
of Campus Activities, the Office of Residential Life, the Office of Student Life and
Health Services. He also serves as the Title IX Coordinator. He holds a bachelor’s
degree from Sacred Heart University and a masters of business administration from
Albertus Magnus College. In his free time, Andrew enjoys watching the New York Giants
play football, cooking, hiking Sleeping Giant mountain and spending time with his
family.

Awilda Burroughs is the Operations Assistant for Student Services. She is currently
in her second year at Albertus Magnus College. Awilda is a student in the Accelerated
Degree Program at Albertus Magnus College, she is pursuing her Bachelor Degree in
Business Management. She is fluent in Spanish. She resides in Hamden, CT. Her hobbies
are cooking, shopping and traveling.

Erin Morrell is the Associate Dean for Campus Activities and Orientation. She is
currently in her eleventh year at Albertus Magnus College. She has a bachelor of
science from the University of Connecticut and a master of arts from Fairfield University.
Erin is responsible for the overall administration of the Office of Campus Activities,
the Hubert Campus Center and the student employees. She advises the Student Government
Association and all student organizations on campus, plans leadership trainings and
coordinates all of the New Student and Transfer Orientation sessions. She also teaches
part time as an instructor on campus and advises a community service organization
at a nearby university. In her spare time she enjoys baking, reading, traveling and
having fun with her family and friends.

Malcolm Thomas is the Assistant Director for Campus Activities and an Assistant Hall
Director for Student Services at Albertus Magnus College. He graduated from Nichols
College May 2016 with his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and has a passion
for student programming from his time worked with the Nichols student services department
during his undergraduate time. Malcolm serves as the advisor the Student Government
Association and assists in monitoring student run club and organization programs.
In his free time, he enjoys coaching youth basketball, watching basketball, bowling,
traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.

Samantha Quinn is the Director of Community Standards. Within this role she oversees
Residential Life and Student Conduct. She has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology
from SUNY Oneonta and a Masters of Counseling from SUNY Old Westbury. Samantha just
moved to Connecticut this fall and is excited to work with the Albertus community.
In her free time she enjoys traveling, baking, spending time with friends and family,
and exploring New Haven.

Devon Corbett is the Residential Life Coordinator at Albertus Magnus College since
January 2016. In her role as RLC, Devon is responsible for the general welfare of
all residential students and works closely with the Resident Assistant Staff to foster
a sense of community within the residence halls. She has a Bachelor of Science in
Communication Studies from Western Connecticut State University and a Master of Higher
Education Administration from Merrimack College. In her spare time she enjoys traveling,
shopping, watching football, and spending time with her friends and family.

Jeff Funk joined the Student Services team as the Residential Hall Director in November
2016. He is responsible for supervising the Resident Assistant staff, overseeing residential
programming, and coordinating the day-to-day operations within the residence halls.
Jeff holds his B.A. in Sociology from Muhlenberg College with minors in Political
Science and Women’s & Gender Studies. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, cooking,
reading, and spending time with his friends and family. A native of Pennsylvania,
Jeff is excited to live in Connecticut and explore all that the state has to offer.

Emilie Nicotra received her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Sociology from
Elon College in Burlington, NC and her Master of Social Work degree from Virginia
Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. Since completing her MSW, Emilie has provided
crisis intervention, case management, and individual and family therapy in a variety
of different settings. Over the past two years, Emilie has been working with adolescents,
young adults, and women through a private practice and working as a field advisor
for master level social work students. Emilie enjoys being outside, reading, listening
to music, baking, spending time with her family and friends, and going for walks with
her dog, Lola.

Elena Tamayo Heitz is the Registered Nurse in Health Services and joined the Albertus
Magnus College community in Fall 2016 after 6 years of primary care nursing. Elena
has a BA in Sociology with a minor in Human Rights from the University of Connecticut
and a BS in Nursing from Quinnipiac University. As a former RA and member of the
UCONN programming board, Elena is excited to return to higher education where she
can apply her passion for holistic nursing care and healthy communities. When not
on campus Elena is having fun with her toddler, husband and two cats. She loves cooking,
gardening and spending time with her family and friends.

Elizabeth Magenheimer MSN, APRN has worked at Albertus Magnus College as a family
nurse practicioner since 1982. She received her BS from Villanova University and
her Masters degree from Yale University. Elizabeth also works in primary care in
New Haven at the Fair Haven Community Health Center and teaches at Yale University
School of Nursing. She is bilingual in Spanish and English. Her special areas of
interest beyond general primary care include: Women’s health, Mindfulness Meditation
and Diabetes Care and Prevention. She lives in New Haven with her husband and has
two grown sons. She spends her free time reading, swimming at the Albertus Pool and
cross country skiing.
