Albertus Magnus College Once Again Ranked by Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education

Honor is Third Inclusion in National Rankings This Fall

New Haven, Conn., September 18, 2020 – For the third time since the 2020-2021 academic year began, Albertus Magnus College is ranked as a top US college by a prestigious national organization.  This latest acknowledgement comes from the Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education 2021 College Rankings in which Albertus has now appeared two years in a row among the prestigious group of 797 institutions nationwide selected for inclusion.

The Wall Street Journal/Times Education Ranking is a pioneering ranking of US colleges and universities that puts student success and learning at its heart.  The survey includes clear performance indicators designed to answer the questions that matter most to students and their families including who to trust with their education and how likely is the individual to graduate, pay off their debt, and get a good job.  Student outcomes, engagement, resources, and environment all contributed to Albertus Magnus’ inclusion on the list, with the College receiving its strongest scores in the student environment category.

“I’m just so pleased that the quality and value of an Albertus education continues to receive such high praise – a wonderful honor as we celebrate our 95th Anniversary,” said Albertus Magnus College President, Marc M. Camille, Ed.D.  “These rankings are designed to provide students and their families with essential information to help them make more informed college choice decisions, especially in these unprecedented times.  The increasing demand for an Albertus education is reflected in the diversity and quality of our growing student body, most recently in this fall’s incoming class, the second largest in our history.  Our Catholic identity and Dominican tradition are at the core of our values- and liberal arts-based education that prepares Albertus graduates for a lifetime of professional success and personal civic engagement.”

Earlier this week, US News & World Report’s 2021 college rankings named Albertus a Top 100 Regional University in the North and featured it among the top performers in four additional categories:  Best Value; Best for Veterans; Top Performers on Social Mobility; and a new category – Best Undergraduate Teaching.  The US News recognition followed shortly after the College’s inclusion among Money’s 2020 Best Colleges in America, ranked by value.
