Albertus Magnus College Again Earns US News & World Report Rankings

Top Performer on Social Mobility for Five Consecutive Years

New Haven, Conn., September 24, 2024 Albertus Magnus College is once again recognized by US News & World Report in its 2024-2025 “Best Colleges” rankings.  As New England’s most diverse Catholic college and its only Catholic college to achieve federal designation as a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI), Albertus received accolades in the Social Mobility category — raising its ranking to the top 30%.

As a Top Performer in Social Mobility, Albertus was recognized among Regional Universities North for its success in graduating low-income students who receive Federal Pell Grants, the fifth consecutive year the College has been lauded by US News for its upward socio economic mobility efforts.

“For ninety-nine years, Albertus Magnus College has built a legacy of transforming lives through education excellence and equity,” states Albertus President Marc M. Camille, Ed.D. “A century ago, Albertus was founded by Dominican Sisters as New England’s first residential Catholic liberal arts college for women, and today we proudly are New England’s most diverse Catholic college, coeducational and still committed to principles of academic excellence and inclusion, delivering programs rooted in the liberal arts tradition but focused on building essential 21st Century skills and competencies for our graduates’ career success and positive impact in the communities in which they serve.”

The US News recognition for Albertus comes on the heels of strong showings in other recent national rankings. Earlier this year, the College achieved Gold Status as a Top Military Friendly School and was named one of Money’s Best colleges in America for affordability and student outcomes.
