New Haven, Conn, March 27, 2024 Albertus Magnus College is designated a Military Friendly® School for 2024-2025 —  achieving Gold status. This honor celebrates Albertus’ sustainable and meaningful education paths and programs it has created  for Veterans. More than 1800 schools participated in this most recent survey with 537 earning the designation.

The Military Friendly® ratings are determined through the evaluation of public data and proprietary data gathered through  the annual Military Friendly® survey process. Survey topics and questions are reviewed and developed with the assistance of  an independent Military Friendly® Advisory Council comprising independent subject matter experts and industry partners  representing the field of veteran education.

“This newest Military Gold Status recognition speaks to Albertus’ commitment to meeting the educational needs of adult  learners, and notably, those who serve in the U.S. Armed Forces,” said Albertus President Marc M. Camille, Ed.D. “As the most  diverse Catholic college in New England, our mission calls us to respond to the needs of our students and society at large,  always with an eye toward our students’ degree attainment success. We are grateful to all those who serve our country, and  we’re inspired to help them pursue their college degree dreams, opening doors to careers informed by our Dominican Pillar  Values of Study, Prayer, Community, and Service.”

“Helping Veterans succeed as they transition to civilian life is how Albertus differentiates itself, and being named a Military  Friendly® institution only adds to our list of accomplishments. In 2019, we were recognized as Connecticut’s first Purple Heart  College by the Military Order of the Purple Heart, an organization that provides services and support for combat Veterans.  These consistent honors, combined with our success-oriented courses and programs, help Veterans achieve their goals,” said  Albertus Veterans Advisor Dr. James Scott, a law enforcement practitioner, a decorated U.S. military Veteran, and educator  with a rare blend of talents, experience, and accomplishments.

The Military Friendly® recognition is the latest in a series of national acknowledgements that Albertus has earned. Earlier in  this 2023-2024 academic year, Forbes Advisor ranked the College’s Online Master’s in Criminal Justice the best in the state of  Connecticut, Money named Albertus one of its Best Colleges in America, and U.S. News & World Report named Albertus one of  its “Best Colleges” in its overall rankings – receiving special recognition in the area of social mobility and undergraduate  teaching.
