As part of Latinx Heritage Month, the Meister Eckhart Center invited Professor David Orique, O.P. to the Albertus campus to discuss Dominicans during the early colonial period. The professor of Latin American and Latina/o Studies at Providence College shared insights regarding the 400th anniversary of Bartolomé de las Casas, an early critic of slavery and mistreatment of indigenous people.
