Albertus Magnus College Names New Vice President for Enrollment Management

New Haven, Conn., June 7, 2023 – Following the completion of a national search, Albertus Magnus College is pleased to announce the appointment of Brian G. Fernandes as its new Vice President for Enrollment Management. With a thirty year plus higher education career, including more than two decades of vice president-level experience as a chief enrollment management officer, Fernandes joins Albertus after most recently serving as Vice President for Enrollment Management at Dominican University New York (DUNY). Fernandes’ career also has included a variety of roles at Iona University in New York including as an Adjunct Professor and academic administration roles for Iona’s graduate programs in the School of Arts and Science.

Fernandes earned his MBA in Organizational Behavior from Iona University. He also received a Diploma in Personnel Management and Bachelor of Science in Physics from St. Xavier’s College in Bombay, India. He has served on numerous boards and committees including: the Steering Committee to expand Transfer Pathways through the Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities – a public-private partnership aimed at creating new transfer pathways into the liberal arts for students graduating from community colleges; a Board of Director of the Palisades Institute of Dominican University; and is a member of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) for the Town of Fairfield, Conn.
