New Haven, Conn, February 16, 2023 – Here are some impressive numbers for employers seeking to fill important vacancies or to grow their businesses with career-ready talent:  For the seventh year in a row, Albertus Magnus College graduates outpace the national average when it comes to finding jobs or continuing their education within six months after earning their bachelor’s degree.  The Class of 2022 alumni achieved a 98-percent success rate  -- a new all-time high for the College -- versus the most recent 84-percent national comparison rate, according to the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) First-Destination Survey results.  Each of the College’s last seven graduating classes have achieved at least a 95-percent success rate in the important early career success and return on investment metric.

“At Albertus Magnus College, our mission statement calls us to provide ‘an education that promotes the search for truth in all its dimensions and is practical in its application,’ and this latest First Destination Survey data for the Class of 2022 affirms our success in doing so,” said Albertus President, Dr. Marc M. Camille.  “Throughout my tenure serving as President, I’ve admired the dedicated Albertus faculty and staff, passionately focused in supporting students, teaching and mentoring to help them achieve their college degrees and post-graduate aspirations.  In today’s increasingly competitive higher education marketplace, we must be unwavering in seeking to strengthen the value of an Albertus Magnus College education by demonstrating how impactful it is to the graduate’s lives and to their communities. The efforts of our Career and Professional Development staff, under the direction of Patrick Clifford, are indeed impactful and deeply appreciated.”

“These consistent results reinforce why Albertus graduates are what employers call ‘workforce and graduate school ready’,” said Albertus’ Director of Career and Professional Development, Patrick Clifford.  “Albertus graduates have developed the critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills, which when coupled with their invaluable experiential learning experiences such as internships, prepare them to succeed on the job and in life – especially here in Connecticut.”

The survey also revealed that 90-percent of Albertus graduates are working in the field of their chosen major.  With the State of Connecticut, Yale-New Haven Health System, and the City of New Haven being some of the top employers of Class of 2022 graduates, 92-percent of these most-recent Albertus graduates are staying in Connecticut, contributing to the State’s workforce and economic development as they begin their new careers.
