Albertus Magnus College Makes Leadership Master Degree Attainable Faster

Earn Master of Science in Management and Organizational Leadership (MSMOL) in 30 Credits

New Haven, Conn., January 4, 2024 – At a time when there is a strong demand for a new kind of executive – one who has the critical thinking skills to solve today’s complex issues -- Albertus Magnus College is making its highly popular Master of Science in Management and Organizational Leadership (MSMOL) degree attainable faster, in order to meet this growing need.

Effective with the start of graduate classes on January 16, Albertus is updating the MSMOL program in order to address market changes by reducing the 36-credit program to 30, still with the same robust Albertus academic experience.

“Throughout our almost 100-year history, Albertus continues to take on new challenges and create new opportunities – especially for First Generation students.  Whether it was providing a values-based education to women in the 1920s at a time when many were not encouraged to go to college; or pioneering online learning in the 1990s; or quickly pivoting during the pandemic, Albertus has answered the call.  Our goal is to provide employers with graduates who are career-ready servant leaders – able to use their strong Albertus education to create solutions,” said Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty Rosa Rivera-Hainaj, Ph.D.

“This degree helps managers navigate new challenges and build high-performing multi-generational workforces,” said Howard Fero, Ph.D., professor of Management and Leadership and director of Graduate Leadership Programs.  “With the Master of Science in Management and Organizational Leadership, students can take our program and develop their leadership with real time interactive classes from the comfort of their homes and then apply their new skills on the job the very next day.”

Among its graduate offerings is the State of Connecticut's only Master of Arts in Art Therapy and Counseling program, and it is just one of three schools to offer a Master of Science in Human Services. In 2025-26, Albertus is celebrating its historic 100th Anniversary and completing implementation of the Albertus 2025: Lighting the Way to a Second Century strategic plan, with a bold vision to "be a destination liberal arts-based college, distinguished in its interdisciplinary and experiential approach to education, rooted in Dominican values, that prepares students for lifelong civic engagement and success."
