Albertus Magnus College Extends President Marc M. Camille’s Contract Through 2030
14th President has guided record enrollment, diversity growth, and fundraising momentum as College celebrates Centennial Anniversary Year
New Haven, Conn., October 1, 2025 — The Albertus Magnus College Board of Trustees has unanimously extended the contract of President Marc M. Camille, Ed.D., through the 2029–30 academic year. Now in his ninth year as the College’s 14th President, Dr. Camille will continue to provide leadership as Albertus celebrates its Centennial in 2025-26 and looks ahead to its second century.
“Dr. Camille has demonstrated extraordinary leadership and articulated an exciting vision for Albertus as we enter our next hundred years,” said Anne O. McCrory, Chair of the Board of Trustees. “My Trustee colleagues and I are delighted that he will continue as president over the next five years, providing stable leadership at a challenging time for higher education nationwide.”
“I remain equally humbled and honored to lead Albertus, but ever more passionate in doing so,” noted Dr. Camille. “For one hundred years, the Albertus community has strived mightily to fulfill its distinctive education mission, boldly articulated by the founding Dominican Sisters. Today, we are called to lean into that mission with renewed purpose, on behalf of the ambitious students who choose Albertus, today and for a next century.”
Since joining Albertus in 2017, Dr. Camille has prioritized the College’s Dominican mission and values, championing engaged leadership and community-centered decision-making. Under his presidency, Albertus has achieved record traditional undergraduate enrollment—up 70 percent since 2017—with the five largest incoming classes in College history all enrolling during his tenure. Albertus has also become the most diverse Catholic college in New England, with notable growth in faculty and staff diversity.
Fundraising has accelerated as well, with Albertus surpassing its initial $25 million silent phase campaign goal in just two years. The College recently launched the public phase of its Forever Albertus campaign with an ambitious $40 million target.
Dr. Camille has also raised the College’s profile locally and nationally, serving in leadership roles with the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU) and recently being elected Chair of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Presidents Council beginning in 2026.
“The College’s 100th Anniversary is both a moment of great promise and significant challenges,” McCrory said. “We believe President Camille is the right leader to guide Albertus forward, ensuring that the College remains a beacon of hope and opportunity, offering a life-elevating education for generations to come.”
