Agreement Provides Pathways to Future Degrees
New Haven, Conn., July 9, 2025 – Albertus Magnus College remains faithful to its almost 100-year-old promise of providing access and opportunity to higher educational learning.Today, Albertus is pleased to announce a special collaboration with Johnson & Wales University, a Providence, Rhode Island non-profit institute of higher education.
This preferred provider agreement encourages Albertus graduates to enroll at Johnson & Wales to seek their Doctor of Occupational Therapy, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, and Master of Public Health. By doing so, a limited number of qualified applicants are eligible for renewable merit-based scholarships ranging from $500 to $10,000 depending on degree and requirements. This opportunity would be most beneficial to Albertus General Health Studies, Biology, and Public Health degree holders.
“This partnership with Johnson & Wales University is as purposeful as it is impactful,” stated Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty Dr. Rosa Rivera-Hainaj. “It prioritizes both access and opportunity to furthering education — something that is at the core of the Albertus mission and continues to be celebrated as we enter our Second Century of Excellence.”
Members of the Johnson & Wales community agree that this is a great collaboration between the two institutions.
“Since its founding, Johnson & Wales University has been committed to providing students with an excellent education to prepare them for careers in in-demand fields,” said JWU Chancellor Mim Runey, LP.D. “At this pivotal point for higher education, we are pleased to partner with Albertus Magnus College to offer this opportunity for their graduates to continue their healthcare education here at Johnson & Wales University.”
