Albertus Magnus College Announces Partnership with Christian Community Action

Establish Education Partnership for Employees and Program Participants

New Haven, Conn., July 14, 2025 Albertus Magnus College continues to encourage people to find their purpose —  fulfilling an almost 100-year-old promise of providing access and opportunity to higher educational and life-long learning.  Albertus is pleased to announce a special collaboration with Christian Community Action (CCA) in New Haven, Conn., a  non-profit organization that provides help, housing, and hope by compassionately and holistically advocating for  community and social change.

This preferred provider agreement establishes a collaborative partnership between Albertus and CCA for the latter’s  employees and beneficiaries of its programs. They are encouraged to pursue their degree—or their next degree— through Albertus’ Adult Undergraduate and Graduate Programs, which are designed to meet the needs of busy  professionals.

Qualified applicants who enroll in associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree programs will receive a 15% tuition  discount. In turn, Albertus will also promote employment and student internship opportunities at CCA as well as serve as  a vital resource for continuing education and professional development activities.

This partnership with Christian Community Action demonstrates our dedication to the Four Dominican Pillars of Study, Prayer, Community, and Service,” stated Vice President for Enrollment Management Brian Fernandes. It prioritizes academic rigor and serves our local New Haven neighbors by providing both access and opportunity to furthering  education — something we at Albertus continue to be celebrated as we enter our Second Century of Excellence.”

Members of the CCA applaud this win-win agreement.

“Albertus Magnus College’s deep commitment to its four pillars made them a natural partner. Located just a block from  our New HOPE Housing Program, they are quite literally 'loving their neighbors.' I’m deeply grateful to Marc, Brian, and  their teams for the genuine care they show their students and the warm hospitality they’ve extended to us. I’m confident  this partnership will lead to meaningful outcomes for the families we serve as they work toward greater stability and  independence." Said CCA Executive Director Charmain Yun.

This agreement underscores Albertus’ commitment to an ongoing education. For nine consecutive years, at least 95% of  Albertus graduates have attained full-time employment or gone onto graduate studies within six months of completing  their degrees.
