Albertus Magnus College Announces Key Internal Promotions
Enrollment, Communications, and Marketing Part of Strategic Alignment
Albertus Magnus College is pleased to announce two key internal promotions to align and further develop a comprehensive, integrated student recruitment and institutional marketing plan. The new assignments are effective immediately.
Andrea Kovacs has been named interim vice president for enrollment management and marketing. Previously, she was vice president, communications and marketing at Albertus. In her new role, Kovacs will provide senior leadership for the College’s undergraduate and professional graduate studies (PGS) admissions, enrollment operations, financial aid, inter-collegiate athletics, communications and marketing, community engagement, and legislative affairs.
Prior to joining Albertus in 2010, Kovacs directed the Annual Fund at Fairfield University and was senior vice president for marketing and community relations for United Way of Eastern Fairfield County where she was also responsible for individual gift fundraising. Kovacs earned her B.S. in Marketing from the Fashion Institute of Technology (SUNY) and her Master’s in Leadership from Albertus Magnus.
While the combined enrollment management and marketing responsibilities falling under a single vice president is a new model for the College, in fact it is a common strategic organizational structure for many colleges throughout the nation. It should also be noted that “interim” is part of the title as the success of the structure will be reviewed in the future.
Marisa Dragone will now serve as interim director for marketing and creative services. Dragone joined Albertus in 2018 as the director of creative services at Albertus. Before that, she spent 25 years in the publishing industry, most recently as production director and general manager at Connecticut Magazine. Dragone earned a B.A. in Graphic Design with a minor in Communications from Regis College.
The new responsibilities are to provide key leadership as the College heads into its second century of celebrating its Catholic heritage and Dominican tradition which are at the core of the values- and liberal artsbased education that prepares graduates for a lifetime of career success and civic engagement.

Among its graduate offerings is the State of Connecticut's only Master of Arts in Art Therapy and Counseling program, and it is just one of three schools to offer a Master of Science in Human Services. In 2025-26, Albertus is celebrating its historic 100th Anniversary and completing implementation of the Albertus 2025: Lighting the Way to a Second Century strategic plan, with a bold vision to "be a destination liberal arts-based college, distinguished in its interdisciplinary and experiential approach to education, rooted in Dominican values, that prepares students for lifelong civic engagement and success."
