Experiential Learning Day

Teaching and Learning Outside the Classroom

View Experiential Learning Day Schedule for April 10, 2024

There are many opportunities where teaching and learning occur outside the traditional Albertus classroom setting. Student learning has been enhanced by Experiential Learning Day (ELD), an impactful event that is the culmination of classroom instruction and collaborative research.

On ELD, classes are paused and students present their work with internships, research, service, or other hands-on, experiential learning activities to the broader College community. The day concludes with an awards ceremony where exceptional student practicum/internships and service-learning projects are celebrated.

Participation in this event serves to inspire students to expand their scope of knowledge by practical application. With many opportunities at Albertus to work with faculty beyond the classroom, as well as internships available throughout the Greater New Haven area, this enriching experience is not found in every college setting.
