We are a team who specializes in helping faculty with the College’s Learning Management System (LMS) known as Moodle (eLearning) and related technologies. Our main purpose is to guide faculty in the best ways to use Moodle and to take advantage of all the features that it has to offer. Members of the Albertus Instructional Technology Team are extensively trained in the eLearning system that the faculty use for their courses. We are happy to sit with you and address your technology needs while showing you how to make the technology work for your instructional needs.
Technology Resource Tutors are service to accommodate both walk-in requests and scheduled support sessions. These students are an important part of support for student and faculty IT needs. Using the tutoring model in use at the Albertus Writing Center, students, faculty and staff can benefit from walk-in services at the Rosary Learning Lab or alternatively they can schedule an individual training session relating to their specific needs. Walk-in services are offered on a first-come, first served basis and are dependent on staff availability; individual sessions can be scheduled in advance with a Lab employee.
The Tech Tutor service enables students who want help with technology to have a place for active support, while also allowing more advanced computer users to continue to develop their skills with the various software provided in the Lab. Faculty are able to refer students who demonstrate difficulty with using technology to the Tutors where they can receive support and training in order to foster continued academic success. This helps to reduce the barriers to academic success that can affect students who would like to improve their skills in the domain of technology literacy.
