Mark your calendars: first year and transfer students move into the residence halls on Friday, August 23rd from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Classes begin on Monday, August 26th.
We are very excited that you will be joining our residential community and hope that you are prepared for the unique opportunities and challenges that await you this fall and spring.
On Friday, August 23rd, two things need to be done before gaining access to your residence hall:
- Check-In at Rosary Hall
- Get cleared with our Business Office, Financial Aid Office, & Health Clinic
New students will not gain access to their room or residence hall without checking-in at Rosary Hall. Please check the move-in guide for parking instructions and additional logistics.
Students who arrive early will NOT be able to move in prior to the designated move-in time. In the rare case that you cannot check in during the move-in time, please contact the Office of Residence Life prior to orientation.
If you do arrive early please explore the City of New Haven and Town of Hamden area. Getting familiar with the area helps the transition to college. There are many stores and local places to eat at.
Unloading Your Vehicle
Our dedicated move-in crew will help you unload your vehicle and move belongings to your room (there are carts and dollies available to make this easier). During this time, we ask that the driver of the vehicle remain with the vehicle at all times. After unloading is finished, you must move your car immediately to make room for other people to begin unloading. You may only unload ONE car at a time; if you bring more than one vehicle, other vehicles must be parked.
