Bachelor of Science in Finance

The Albertus Magnus B.S. in Finance program in the Tagliatela School of Business and Leadership is designed for students looking to enter the growing fields of Corporate Finance and Personal Financial Planning, which is currently experiencing a significant rate of growth in employment opportunities. The program will provide students with a strong knowledge of finance principles and business applications and prepare them for a variety of careers in the financial services field. For students who are specifically interested in becoming a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), the Concentration in Personal Financial Planning will provide the requisite coursework needed to satisfy the education requirement and help prepare students to pass the comprehensive and rigorous CFP exam.

The CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification is the best-known certification in the financial planning community. The Albertus Magnus College program has been registered with the Certified Financial Planners Board of Standards, Inc. as acceptable education for the CFP® Certification Examination. Students who complete the six courses may sit for the CFP® Certification Examination.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, and federally registered CFP (with flame logo) in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete the CFP Board's initial and ongoing certification requirements.

Albertus Magnus College does not certify individuals to use the CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, and CFP® certification marks.
