Prayers are requested for Sister Ann Bailie, O.P., beloved teacher of French and Humanities at Albertus Magnus College who died on Monday, July 4, 2016 in Columbus, Ohio.
Sister Ann graduated from Manhattan College in 1954 with a B.A. in French and English; she received an M.A. in French Language and Literature in 1961 from the Université Laval, in Québec. She also completed advanced studies in French literature at New York University.
In May of 2010 Sister Ann received an honorary degree from Albertus Magnus College recognizing her many years of teaching.
In 2012, Sister Ann retired from Albertus to do community service at the Dominican Sisters of Peace motherhouse in Columbus, Ohio.
All services for Sister Ann Bailie will take place at the Dominican Sisters of Peace, Saint Mary of the Springs, Columbus, Ohio.
A memorial liturgy will be scheduled at Albertus in the fall to celebrate Sister Ann’s life and service to the College.
