Where is the new building in relation to 111 Founders Plaza?

The new location is at 222 Pitkin Street, which is the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology (CCAT) building. When coming out of Founders Plaza, take a right, and the building is 500 yards on the left.

When will we be moving?

Moving will take place this month and will be in phases. Some moves will happen the week of August 14th while others will be the week of August 21st. All classes should be fully moved over by Monday, August 28th. (Each class will receive notice about the move in advance. Please check here and your Albertus Magnus College email.)

Where do we park?

Parking is located in back of the building and all along the right side of the building. The entrance is in the front. Parking is plentiful.

Is there security?

The CCAT building (222 Pitkin Street) has state of the art security cameras and surveillance technology both inside and outside the building. Both Lena and a tech specialist will be at the front desk of the CCAT building to greet students and faculty. Some business and/or colleges, such as UCONN, may also be using the building at the same time.

What are the classrooms like?

Four of the classrooms in the CCAT building are shared spaces, meaning that colleges, businesses, government organizations, and business start-ups are using them during the daytime. When using these spaces, we must be mindful to keep them clean for organizations that will need to use them in the morning. Four of the classrooms will be used exclusively by Albertus Magnus College.

Spaces will accommodate the size of each class. Most classrooms are conference room style, designed for intimate collaboration between students and instructor. Some will have video conferencing capabilities. A map of the space will be forthcoming, and signage will be available during those first few weeks.

Is there a computer lab?

Students needing computers during the daytime (8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) should come to 225 Pitkin Street (a.k.a. The Albertus Magnus College administrative building). Students requesting a computer after 5:00 p.m. should request one at the main desk of the CCAT building (222 Pitkin Street). Students will have the ability to print using Papercut Technology, which will allow you to send your print jobs remotely. A permanent lab will be established in the upcoming months.
