SAGE Scholars

In 2022, Albertus Magnus College received a Minorities Science & Engineering Improvement Program (MSEIP) grant from the U.S. Department of Education to effect long-range improvement in STEM and to increase the flow of underrepresented ethnic minorities, particularly minority women, into science careers.

With grant support, the STEM Academy for Growth and Equity (SAGE) and the SAGE Scholars program were established. The grant has allowed our STEM students to learn in small classroom environments while taking their learning to real world internships and experiences. Watch the videos below and hear some of our SAGE Scholars talk about the experiences and doors that have opened for them as STEM students at Albertus.

Working with scientists and service members at the Air Force Research Lab, I gained invaluable problem-solving skills and discipline, allowing me to impact real-world challenges and set the stage for my future success.
