Overview The Video Media Coordinator and Network Analyst position is responsible for coordinating the video media technology services for the College and training and overseeing a group of student workers to provide media technology support at College events. In addition, this position provides network technology development and support services, as well as desktop support for faculty, administration, classrooms, and computer labs.

Essential Functions

Duties include audio and video media equipment setups, audio and video editing, software installations, hardware and software upgrades and maintenance, client wireless configurations, maintaining computer labs and classrooms, network wiring, computer imaging, and first level help desk support.

  • Video Media Services:
    • Manage media (audio and video) solutions for College events and activities including lecture series, press conference, public speaking events commencement, and special events.
    • Coordinate and provide media technology support services to the College community and guests of the College.
    • Coordinate and provide video editing services for College events.
    • Maintain inventory of media equipment.
    • Oversee and coordinate a group of student workers to provide the above services.
  • Technology Services:
    • Provide first-level information technology help desk support.
    • Provide network and PC support, including: maintain computers; repair/replace drives; memory upgrades as needed; maintain printers; attend to daily backup processes; configure laptop computers to access the Albertus wireless network.
    • Install software on classroom/lab computers each semester dependent on needs and classes that are scheduled.
    • Image computers every summer – Install and image new computers as budgeted.
    • Maintain functionality of classroom technology.
    • Maintain computer labs.
Qualifications
  • At least two years working in an information technology services function of an academic institution, non-profit organization, or commercial business operation, providing media support and customer support services.
  • Understanding of computer hardware, software, and network environments, including media management solutions
Education Bachelor's degree required.
Knowledge | Skills | Abilities
  • Strong organizational skills, technical knowledge including knowledge of Microsoft Windows client operating systems, familiarity with MS Office applications and other Albertus technical solutions. Experience with video/audio production and editing tools such as Adobe Premier.
  • Highly professional, customer oriented, and able to prioritize task demands, with an understanding of IT, networking concepts, and media technology experience.
Special Work Schedule Requirements
  • Partially desk work in an office environment and partially installation and configuration work in the field, including visits to satellite campus locations. Involves lifting of computer and audio/visual equipment. Schedule of work may include some evenings and weekends to cover special events.
