| Overview |
The position, which seeks a service-oriented and self-motivated professional, provides
technical support to the College’s students, staff, and faculty; maintains, monitors,
and supports the College’s computer systems and classroom technologies; and collaborates
with team members across all departments to assist with their technical requirements
and to solve complex technical issues.

| Essential Functions |
- Install and configure software, printers, and computers; deploy large computer configuration
updates through imaging system
- Assist students, faculty and staff with technical problems; troubleshoot and resolve
software and/or hardware problems encountered by patrons
- Provide help desk support by phone, email, chat, or in-person
- Administer new-user processes, establish email and active directory accounts, and
assist with password or login issues
- Maintain procedures and reports related to the technical support of the College community
- Participate in departmental meetings and provide insight into technical challenges
and opportunities for improvement

| Qualifications |
- Bachelor degree in computer science or a related field preferred
- At least one year working in an information technology services function of an academic
institution, non-profit organization, or commercial business operation, providing
technical and customer support services.

| Knowledge | Skills | Abilities |
- Working knowledge and expertise with a variety of hardware, software, and applications,
including Microsoft Windows and/or similar client operating systems, Microsoft Office
and/or similar productivity suites, and Google Apps suite and/or similar email and
communications tools
- Experience studying and trouble-shooting complicated problems, identifying solutions,
and seeing projects through to completion
- Highly professional, customer-oriented, able to manage time, and effectively prioritize numerous project and task demands, with strong interpersonal skills, ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and solid communication capabilities

| Special Work Schedule Requirements |
Partially desk work in an office environment and partially installation and configuration
work in the field, including visits to satellite campus locations. Involves lifting
of computer and audio/visual equipment. Schedule of work may include some evenings
and weekends to cover special events.
