| Overview |
The Registrar, as the official custodian of the academic records of all students enrolled
at the College, provides effective and innovative leadership and oversight for the
development, implementation and management of systems related to academic records,
course inventory, class scheduling and student registration. The Registrar works closely
with academic and business units of the College to support the College’s mission and
strategic planning efforts.

| Essential Functions |
- Hire, supervise, and evaluate the Office of the Registrar staff.
- Enforce policies and procedures in accordance with college requirements and regulatory
compliance including FERPA.
- Administer the student records system, including but not limited to ensuring that
appropriate security of the records is maintained; maintain grade verification procedures;
and conduct periodic grade change audits; provide oversight for degree audit and curricular
waiver/substitutions.
- Administer all activities involved with the development and maintenance of student
academic records including the determination of students eligible to receive degrees,
honors, the system of graduation audits and recommended graduation lists.
- Assign codes for courses, departments, and majors, term setup, registration and the
oversight of the assignment of classrooms.
- Oversee the processes for the articulation of transfer credits, eligibility for participation
in athletics and other academic based activities and awards, enrollment and degree
verification and the production of official transcripts.
- Coordinate the submission of student academic record data to the National Student
Clearinghouse and NSLDS.
- Solve technical problems during peak system activity such as registration and grade
processing.
- Facilitate continuous assessment and improvement of the Office of the Registrar in
consultation with the Director for Academic Compliance and Operations.
- Other duties as assigned.

| Qualifications |
Master’s degree is required. Four (4) years of experience in college administration,
including two (2) years of upper level experience in a records office is required.
Must have thorough knowledge of registration processing, scheduling, grading systems,
academic policies and procedures, as well as knowledge of academic advisement. Strong
computer skills and extensive knowledge of databases and reporting systems (preferably
Datatel Colleague, Slate, Navigate and Ad Astra), Microsoft Office Suite and Google
Applications. Must possess strong attention to detail, high degree of accuracy and
excellent organizational and communication skills.

Master’s degree is required.

| Special Work Schedule Requirements |
Work will be performed in an office environment with a significant amount of public
contact, in person, by telephone and via email. Extensive computer use. Occasionally,
evening and some weekend hours may be required. The successful candidate must be
flexible with their hours to meet the needs of the office.
