| Overview |
The MarComm Graduate Assistant is a 10-month position each year over the course of
earning a Masters degree at Albertus Magnus College. The Grad Assistant will work
part-time supporting the Admissions and Advancement teams, Student Services, and other
departments as necessary for promoting the College.

| Essential Functions |
- Administrative Support: responsible to assist in the daily functions of the department,
including: filing, scheduling, media phone calls, help in organizing digital assets
(marketingwarehouse server), and other general office support.
- Writing Assignments: responsible for writing and editing projects, such as developing
editorial content, writing and revising articles, and scheduling interviews for the
From The Hill alumni magazine.
- Assist with translation and accessibility of video content.
- Assist in gathering digital content for the Albertus blog and social media platforms.
- Work with the Media Relations Specialist on press releases or other writing projects.
- Event coverage: responsible for attending and assisting in marketing activities at
community engagement events in the New Haven and Hamden areas, campus-wide events,
and media events.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal communication
skills.
- Solid computer skills; willingness to learn and adapt to new software/technology.
- Detail oriented and organized; able to prioritize and complete tasks.
- Adaptable to change; able to work independently and with a team.
- Highly professional, have good judgement and be willing to take initiative.
- Ability to multitask and work gracefully under pressure.
