| Overview |
The Department of Visual Arts & Communication is seeking a qualified candidate to
work with visual arts faculty on bridging aesthetic disciplines with professional
and practical outcomes.
An ideal candidate will have professional or academic expertise in a combination of
the following subjects:
- Strategic communication
- Media Studies
- Public Relations
- Advertising
- Social Media
- Marketing
- Oral and written communication
The successful candidate will have a deep commitment to teaching and advising a diverse
student population. They should be enthusiastic about developing practices that respond
to the cultural needs of that population and promoting equity within our institution.
They should be able to develop in our students the technical, theoretical, and critical
understanding needed to apply a liberal arts curriculum throughout their professional
futures.

| Primary Responsibilities |
Duties will include teaching 4 classes per semester, serve on college committees,
advise students, hold office hours, participate in commencements, planning days and
convocations.
|
| Qualifications |
- A terminal degree (ideal) and/or tested professional experience.
- Teaching experience
- History of publication or comparable demonstration of professional experience
