Overview

The Department of Psychology of Albertus Magnus College is seeking a full-time assistant or associate professor. This is a renewable annual appointment. Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate courses in statistics and research methods as well as in the individual’s area of specialization, graduate-level research design courses, and guiding master’s theses in counseling and art therapy. Area of specialization is open; the department seeks to expand its ability to integrate cultural and diversity issues into the curriculum and therefore is interested in applicants with expertise in multiculturalism, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate in psychology (ABD considered) and some teaching experience, including best practices for student engagement in hybrid and/or online courses. Evidence of scholarly potential preferred. Experience in a mentoring role (e.g., academic advisement) preferred. Members of under-represented groups and individuals fluent in both English and Spanish are especially encouraged to apply.
