Overview Reporting to the Director of Athletics and working collaboratively across the College community, the Coordinator for Student-Athlete Success is responsible for strategic leadership programming focused on intercollegiate student-athletes’ holistic success, extending from recruitment to engagement, retention, graduation, and post-graduate career outcomes. Varsity student-athletes comprise roughly one half of full-time, traditional undergraduate enrollment, including significant representation in Albertus housing. The successful recruitment, retention, and graduation of student-athletes is a strategic priority for the College and a major component of enrollment management objectives, including enrollment-related revenues.
The Coordinator for Student-Athlete Success works collaboratively in identifying and leading strategies and initiatives focused on achieving measurable performance outcomes and metrics across the enrollment management student lifecycle. The Coordinator for Student-Athlete Success works collaboratively and supportively with other College departments and personnel, serving as a liaison, facilitator, and advocate with areas such as academic advising, admissions, career and professional development, faculty, financial aid, and student services.

Essential Functions
  • Collaborate with academic advisors and student success navigators for improved intervention and retention using Navigate and face-to-face interactions.
  • Track GPA and monitor satisfactory academic progress for all student-athletes.
  • Work in partnership with the Office of Career and Professional Development to facilitate student-athlete internships.  
  • Collaborate with coaching staff to develop and implement successful recruiting programs ensuring full rosters and competitive play, including serving as a liaison between coaches and the Office of Admissions and to better leverage the College’s admissions CRM system, SLATE. 
  • Provide oversight of athletic facilities to help ensure they meet the needs of the athletics department and are attractive and fully functioning for internal and external uses. 
  • Coordination of the athletic faculty mentors program to ensure a positive experience for both the student-athletes, coaches, and faculty advisors.
  • Explore academic programming that could to be in line with market changes.
  • Represent the Athletic Department on various campus committees as assigned. 
  • All other duties assigned by the Director of Athletics
Qualifications
  • Ten or more years of demonstrated, successful experience working in intercollegiate athletics and/or related areas such as admissions, advising, or student success.   
  • Previous NCAA Division III coaching and athletics administration experience
  • Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulations, including compliance
  • Previous college/intercollegiate athletics admissions, retention, career experience
  • Familiarity/competency with Front Rush student-athlete and SLATE admissions software
Education An earned Bachelor’s Degree
Special Work Schedule Requirements
  • 12-month, full time position
  • Evening and weekend work is required
