Overview The Academic Compliance Administrator will ensure compliance with regulations of governing bodies including federal, state, and external agencies. The Academic Compliance Administrator will monitor compliance, administer compliance-related procedures and initiatives, and report results. This individual assists the Registrar with project management and assessment of efficiency and effectiveness.

Essential Functions Academic Compliance
  • Monitor accuracy and timeliness of enrollment reports. Collaborate with Colleague, National Student Clearinghouse (NSC), and the National Student Loan Database System (NSLDS) to resolve issues and minimize risk to the college.
  • Provide education and training on FERPA for staff/faculty. Respond to potential FERPA violations, in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Manage the withdrawal process, including oversight of daily enrollment adjustment reports.
  • Conduct proactive research of laws and regulations. Interpret regulations, rules and policies to ensure the college is in compliance with federal and state approving agencies.
  • Coordinate and provide technical review of data and reports associated with federal and state approvals.
Records/Service
  • Ensure the accuracy of student records and grading each semester by coordinating audit reports and other quality assurance checks of student records which includes examining credit hours, fees, and other critical information, requesting various reports, editing for errors, making necessary corrections, and reporting results to the Registrar.
  • Ensure the security and protection of a variety of records from damage and unauthorized use by establishing and enforcing security procedures for all paper and electronic records.
  • Assess academic standing records, Dean’s List, and other academic honors or standards. Maintain and update student academic records.
Other
  • Maintain electronic forms, Registrar intranet and Registrar presence on the internal and external college webpages.
  • Perform other duties in support of departmental and college objectives through special projects and individual assignments.
Qualifications Master’s degree and three or more years of experience directly related to federal and/or state regulations required. Demonstrated experience with research integrity and compliance programs. Familiarity with accreditation. Must have strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills and be able to motivate others and resolve complex problems with diplomacy, tact, and sophisticated negotiation skills. Must be able to communicate effectively and with authority to a diverse faculty, staff, and student body regarding relevant policies. Accuracy and attention to detail is crucial.
Education Master’s degree required
Special Work Schedule Requirements Occasionally, evening and some weekend hours may be required. The successful candidate must be flexible with their hours to meet the needs of the office.
