Academic Advisor – Professional and Graduate Studies Division
| Overview |
The Academic Advisor will serve as the contact person to his/her assigned students
who attend classes online or on our New Haven campus. He/she will meet with students
on a regular basis to develop and monitor educational plans and goals. He/she will
also work closely with other advisors, admissions, the registrar, department chairs,
and faculty to provide timely and accurate information on course/degree options.

| Essential Functions |
- Meet with new and returning students to develop and monitor educational plans and
goals.
- Conduct one-on-one orientations with new students to go over the college portal,e-learning,
and review policies and procedures.
- Provide students with information about resources to support them academically and
personally
- Assist faculty advisors with questions and help process registration forms.
- Serve as a liaison between the business, registrar, and financial aid offices.

Bachelor's degree required.

- Ability to work independently, multi-task, identify priorities, meet deadlines, and
maintain attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, e-learning portals (specifically Moodle preferred.)

| Special Work Schedule Requirements |
Evening and some weekend hours required.
