Jeremy Brewer
Jeremy Brewer is a former police officer turned risk control consultant, speaker,
and storyteller. With more than two decades in law enforcement and crisis intervention,
he brings a human-centered perspective to conversations about safety, trust, and leadership.
Jeremy was selected as a speaker at TED Conferences in 2020 and appeared in the new
documentary "Us vs Them" examining the complexities of American policing.
Since 2021, Jeremy has served as a selection committee member for the Connecticut
Hall of Change, where he conducts recipient interviews focused less on accolades and
more on the moments that shaped character. His approach centers on listening for humanity,
impact, and purpose. Helping uncover the stories behind the achievements and ensuring
those honored are remembered not just what they accomplished, but for who they are.

Recently, Charlie co-authored a #1 Amazon Best-selling book dealing with reducing recidivism through restorative justice.brings a rare combination of creative artistry and practical experience to his consulting work. With roots in both theater and cinema, he understands the technical demands of production as well as the importance of authentic storytelling. Dr. John Watts
Dr. John Watts is an Assistant Professor and Program Director of the Criminal Justice and Restorative Justice Program at the University of Saint Joseph. He is also an adjunct professor at the Russel Sage College in the Criminal Justice and Community Corrections Program. Dr. Watts is a retired Chief Probation Officer with 20 years of experience working at the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch, Court Support Service Division (CSSD). Dr. Watts is a national trainer and consultant with Policy Research Associates and the Center for Effective Public Policy (CEPP) and holds certifications as a Criminal Justice Addictions Professional (CCJP) and in Forensic Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (F-CBT). Dr. Watts earned his bachelor's degree in liberal arts from Charter Oak State College, a master's degree in management and organizational leadership from Albertus Magnus College, and a doctorate in criminal justice from Saint Leo University.

Ameer Williams
Ameer Williams is living proof that the past does not have to define the future. Born
and raised in New Haven, Connecticut, he rebuilt his life after incarceration for
drug-related offenses and is believed to be the first documented formerly incarcerated
person in U.S. history to rise to the rank of Police Sergeant. After receiving a full
pardon in 2012 for a record that once included 13 felonies, he joined the New Haven
Police Department in 2014 and was promoted to Sergeant in 2021.
He is the founder of M.E.G.A. Inc. (Making Everyone Great Again), a pardon consulting
organization that has helped more than 700 people obtain pardons nationwide. Ameer
is the author of From Prison to the Precinct: Velma’s Son, holds multiple advanced
degrees, and is pursuing a Doctorate in Criminal Justice. A recognized community leader
and award recipient, he is also a proud father of three and an active member of the
New Haven community.
