The Albertus Magnus B.S. in Finance program in the Tagliatela School of Business and Leadership is designed for students looking to enter the growing fields of Corporate Finance and Personal Financial Planning, which is currently experiencing a significant rate of growth in employment opportunities. The program will provide students with a strong knowledge of finance principles and business applications and prepare them for a variety of careers in the financial services field.

Earn Your Degree With Our Accelerated And Flexible Courses
Bachelor of Science in Finance is offered in our new FLEX format.
With the FLEX format, you can choose to take each class in either a blended or online format. Each time you register for a new course, you can choose one of these formats:
- Blended - Classes run for eight weeks with a combination of one on-ground session at either of our New Haven or East Hartford campuses and one online assignment each week from the comfort of your home or office. Students who choose this option often enjoy the best of "both worlds" as they benefit from in-class discussion with their classmates and professors while maintaining the convenience of working on projects and assignments from home.
- Online - Online or Distance Learning classes run for eight weeks with two online "sessions" each week that you can "attend" from the comfort of your own home or office. All weekly assignments are offered asynchronously, meaning you have the ability to work on them at your own time and pace.
Finance Major (48 credits)
All students pursuing a major in Finance are required to take the following set of core courses as a foundation for requirements in their area of concentration culminating with a capstone course.
Core Requirements for Finance Management Majors (30 credits)
Choose one of the following concentrations:
Corporate Finance Concentration
(48 credits, 18 credits + 30 core credits listed above)
Choose 1 Financial Planning Elective Course
BE 247: Health Care Finance
BE 261: Intermediate Accounting I
BE 381: Finance Internship
MG 365: Issues of Small and Family Business
Choose one of the following minors:
