Description | I have spent my entire professional life in education, both as a classroom teacher and administrator and now as a teacher and advisor to teacher candidates in the initial teacher preparation program. This life has brought me extraordinary opportunities to support my students as they grow in knowledge about themselves and the world around them. For me, teaching is always a dynamic exchange between me and my students. Robert Frost once said, "I talk in order to understand; I teach in order to learn." Every day, I learn something from my students--something about the world, about life, and about myself. I hope that I, in return, guide them in their discoveries about themselves and their worlds. This open dialogue is the foundation of a liberal arts education. | |
