PRSA Mercury Awards

New Haven, Conn., November 24, 2025 Albertus Magnus College is shining brighter than ever. As the College marks its Centennial year, its Marketing, Communications & Web (MarCommWeb) team delivered a record-setting performance, earning five PRSA Mercury Awards and extending its streak to eight consecutive years of statewide distinction from the Public Relations Society of America Greater Connecticut Chapter (PRSA CT).

This year’s honors — two Gold, two Silver, and one Bronze — reflect the College’s bold, mission-driven storytelling and its momentum as it enters its second century.

Albertus earned recognition across four major categories: Reputation/Brand Management; Magazine (Print & Digital); and Integrated Communications. The award-winning work includes:

“It’s Different Here at Albertus” — Gold for Campaigns, Reputation/Brand Management:

To mark a once-in-a-century milestone, Albertus set out to powerfully articulate what makes the College unlike any other. With Establishment Productions, the MarCommWeb team rolled out a vibrant, multi-platform campaign that turned heads across Connecticut. The result? Strong brand resonance and a key contribution to enrolling the largest incoming class of 2025–2026.

“Albertus Magnus College’s From the Hill — Building Upon 100 Years of Joy and Purpose” — Gold for Tactics, Magazine/Print: On a tighter budget but with bigger ambition, Albertus expanded its flagship alumni magazine to three issues in honor of the Centennial. The award-winning editions — Answering the Call, The Pillars of Success, and Reflections on 100 Years — were packed with stories that inspired pride, generosity, and connection across generations of Falcons.

“Albertus Magnus College’s From the Hill — Preparing for a Centennial Celebration” — Silver for Tactics, Magazine/Digital: A 99-year build-up led to a digital storytelling series that united the Albertus community around a shared countdown to 100. The three honored editions of Answering the Call, The Pillars of Success, and Reflections on 100 Years showcased a cohesive vision and editorial excellence that carried the College into its Centennial Campaign.

“First to Fly at Albertus Magnus College” — Silver for Campaigns, Integrated Communications:

Focused on the transformative power of the Albertus mission, this campaign elevated the Four Dominican Pillars — Study, Prayer, Community, and Service — in a compelling, people-first narrative. Its impact was tangible: it helped fuel the enrollment of the largest incoming class in Albertus history.

“Albertus Magnus College Centennial Campaign” — Bronze for Campaigns, Integrated Communications: Honoring a century of transformation, the College submitted two compelling videos: a Presidential passing of the torch narrative and a reflection on how tradition remains constant even as the world changes. Each piece underscored the College’s longstanding commitment to expanding access, opportunity, and purpose.

“This is the biggest PRSA win in our College’s history, and it couldn’t have been timed more perfectly,” said Andrea Kovacs, Vice President for Marketing and Community Relations, PRSA CT Board Member, and event co-chair. “Our Marketing, Communications, and Web Team and vendor partners brought extraordinary creativity, passion, and heart to every campaign. What a way to kick off our next century!”

Albertus proudly hosted the November 20 event at its award-winning Hubert Campus Center. Over the last eight years, Albertus Magnus College has earned PRSA honors in nearly every major PRSA category, from media relations and digital innovations to student productions and brand storytelling. The Marketing, Communications, and Web team pairs student workers and interns with professional staff to provide Albertus students with real-world marketing experience, helping them build meaningful creative portfolios.
