7th Annual Albertus Magnus College Golf Classic to Benefit Student Scholarships
June 23 Event Brings Together Business and Community Stakeholders Invested in Excellence
New Haven, Conn., May 29, 2025 – Albertus Magnus College invites you to be a champion for education by supporting student scholarships on June 23 at its 7th Annual Golf Classic at the iconic New Haven Country Club.
Since its inception in 2019, this tournament has raised more than $500,000 in scholarship funds that transform and empower the lives of young people through education. This year, Noble Wealth Advisors of Janney Montgomery Scott is the event’s top sponsor.
Scholarship support is an institutional priority of Albertus — a Catholic college in the Dominican tradition on the cusp of celebrating its 100th Anniversary of educational excellence and opportunity. Scholarships help Albertus attract outstanding students, make a college degree affordable, and allow students to concentrate more fully on their educational experience.
The Golf Classic is a day to celebrate and support the Albertus story — founded in 1925 by the Dominican Sisters of Peace. Today, nearly 100 years later and true to the Sisters’ founding vision, Albertus continues to provide a life-changing education to those who might not otherwise have access.
“By supporting the Albertus Golf Classic, our generous alumni, friends, community leaders, and corporate partners are positively impacting the lives of our students and investing in the leaders of tomorrow,” said Interim Vice President for Advancement Kierran Broatch. “For that, we are most grateful.”

Proud to enroll a student body where more than half of its students come from minority backgrounds with nearly the same percentage of undergraduates receiving Federal Pell Grants and being first generation college goers, Albertus is known for its innovative curricular offerings, recently launching new Bachelor's degree programs in Nursing, General Health Sciences, Interdisciplinary Studies, Public Health, and Supply Chain Management; among its graduate programs is the State of Connecticut's only Master of Arts in Art Therapy and Counseling program. Just two years from its historic 100 th Anniversary Year, the College is implementing its Albertus 2025: Lighting the Way to a Second Century strategic plan, which articulates an inspiring, bold vision to "be a destination liberal arts-based college, distinguished in its interdisciplinary and experiential approach to education, rooted in Dominican values, that prepares students for lifelong civic engagement and success."
