Description

Lisa Furman, PhD, ATR-BC, LPC has worked as an art therapist and clinical coordinator in psychiatric, educational and community based programs with children, adults and families in the greater New York City area for over 30 years. She is a published author and has presented nationally and internationally on her work with children and trauma, cancer patients, art therapy assessments, and current issues in art therapy ethics. She is an adjunct faculty member in the graduate art therapy program at New York University. As an administrator, Dr. Furman served as program director at the Art Therapy Outreach Center and The Animation Project in New York City, and at Raw Art Works in Lynn, MA.
