DescriptionProfessor Kelly Vera has taught college biology for more than 20 years, and additionally served as a lab coordinator for five of those years. As lab coordinator, she managed 15 graduate teaching assistants covering more than 40 sections of lab. The majority of her teaching was at Jones College in Ellisville, MS and the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS. When her husband retired from teaching college physics and their son moved to Massachusetts for a Master’s degree, she moved the family to Connecticut. Mrs. Vera spends her free time being crafty, visiting art, history, and science museums, and traveling as often as possible (multiple cross-country trips by car and Christmas-time visits to Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Italy, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Austria).
