The VERITAS Award is given from time to time by Albertus Magnus College to an individual or group whose dedication and commitment enhances and supports the mission of the College and meets the following criteria:

  • Gives service to the College and the community;
  • Promotes the pursuit of truth (VERITAS);
  • Exemplifies the Dominican values: study, prayer, community, and service;
  • Values holistic education;
  • Witness to a life of integrity based on the Judeo – Christian tradition;
  • Embraces principles of social justice in promoting the common good.

VERITAS Awards to be presented on
Founders’ Day - Friday, September 21, 2018

This year, Founders’ Day will connect our Business and Leadership programs with the Dominican tradition of the College. The Business program has the highest enrollment of students, so we hope this day will deepen the integration of the Business and Leadership programs with the Dominican tradition of the College.

Dr. Nancy Fallon ’79

Dr. Fallon began her career at Albertus in 1990. She is a full-time tenured professor and has served as Director of the Accounting Program, Chair of the Tagliatela School of Business and Leadership, Director of the MBA Program in the Accelerated Degree Program, and Chair of the Department of Business and Economics.

In addition, Dr. Fallon assisted in the creation and implementation of the major in Finance, oversaw the development of new programs in Entrepreneurship, Health Care Management and Personal Financial Specialist, and created the MS in Accounting Program. During her tenure at Albertus she has attended and presented at numerous conferences and has been a member of and chaired many Albertus committees.

Dr. Clara Munson

Dr. Munson began her career at Albertus in 1990. She is a full-time tenured professor.

Dr. Munson has served as the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) representative (including Chair, Board of Directors, and liaison for accreditation), been awarded a fellowship at the Yale School of Management Executive Program, attended and presented at numerous conferences, and has been a member of and chaired many Albertus committees. In addition, Dr. Munson has led a mission experience trip for a group of business students to Jamaica in conjunction with the Dominican Sisters of Peace. The students assisted adults in developing business plans and worked with youth and children’s programs.

Both Dr. Fallon and Dr. Munson are long-serving members of the Business and Leadership Department. They are highly respected among their peers and students because of their scholarly dedication to provide successful programs.
