Lorrie Greenhouse Gardella has joined the College as vice president for professional and graduate studies, a new position which reports directly to the Office of the President. She will serve as a member of the Collegeís Administrative Council, providing strategic and operational leadership focused on assessing and sustaining current evening programs and, over time, developing additional accelerated degree and graduate programs.
She will hold the academic rank of Professor of Human Services. Gardella comes to Albertus from a 26-year career at the University of St. Joseph in West Hartford, where she was a distinguished member of the faculty and held increasing responsible teaching and leadership positions. She was most recently director of the Universityís Program for Adult Learners and associate dean in the School of Graduate and Professional Studies. Gardella holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Smith College, J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law and Masterís degree in social work from the University of Connecticut.
