Peer tutoring support is available for math, business statistics, finance, accounting, psychology, biology, chemistry, reading, ESOL, American Sign Language, and Spanish. The Writing Center offers support for all writing assignments at any stage in the writing process. Peer academic coaches can help with study skills and time management.

Tutoring Sessions by Appointment

Albertus peer tutors are available to work with you by appointment either in-person or virtually during the Germain Center's open hours. You can make an appointment through Navigate or by calling (203-773-8590) or emailing (Germain-Center@albertus.edu).

 

Drop-In Tutoring Sessions

Drop by the Germain Center without an appointment to work with a writing or math tutor during our drop-in tutoring hours. Call 203-773-8590 for our current drop-in tutoring hours.
  • Covid Protocols for in-person appointments:
    • Students and tutors must wear a mask at all times and sit 6 feet apart
    • Students who work with tutors must be vaccinated
    • Students must print two copies of their assignment

Online Tutoring 24/7 is available at any time and is staffed by professional tutors from across the country. You can access Online Tutoring 24/7 through the link at the top of your eLearning page.

The Writing Center at Albertus Magnus College provides ongoing assistance throughout the writing process, helping students develop and improve as mature writers and encouraging them to view writing as a means of learning and discovering. Integral to the comprehensive writing program at the College, the Writing Center offers an abundance of reference materials, print, and online resources, as well as the aid of WAs, who provide peer consultations on writing and research for student writers across all disciplines. The Writing Center also affords a warm and welcoming environment in which you may simply wish to compose, edit, or revise your written assignments.

In the Academic Success Center, our accounting and finance tutors provide ongoing support for students who need help.

In the Academic Success Center, we are currently developing ongoing support for students in our language classes. We now offer tutoring in ASL (American Sign Language) and Spanish will be offered soon. To learn more about English language support, please go to our Reading & ESOL tab.

In the Academic Success Center, peer math tutors and our Math Specialist provide ongoing support for students who need help with math and statistics.

In the Academic Success Center, our professional Reading Specialist provides ongoing support for students who need help with English as a Second Language as well as reading skills and comprehension.

In the Academic Success Center, our science tutors provide ongoing support for students who need help with biology, chemistry, and organic chemistry.

In the Academic Success Center we offer limited walk-in hours for writing and math tutoring where students can work one-on-one with a tutor without an appointment. These hours operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Walk-in hours do not fulfill the W requirement.

Online tutoring is available at any time of the day or night for almost any subject.

Yes, that means that if you need help even at 3:00am, you can get a tutor in almost any subject.
