Kierran Broatch Vice President for Advancement kbroatch@albertus.edu
Kierran Broatch is responsible for planning and leading a wide-reaching fundraising
program that ensures Albertus has the philanthropic resources it needs to flourish
in the years ahead, advancing its mission, and supporting the students who will shape
the future. He is charged with strengthening relationships with key stakeholders and
developing a culture that engages our alumni community to the highest level. Kierran
oversees Forever Albertus: The Centennial Campaign, the largest fundraising effort in the College’s history, and a new gift planning
program that has secured $10M in commitments to date. He has nearly 20 years of experience
in higher education and nonprofit fundraising. Prior to joining Albertus in 2022,
Kierran held roles of increasing responsibility at Sacred Heart University, Quinnipiac
University, and Save the Sound. He earned a B.S. in Communication from Eastern Connecticut
State University and a M.S. in Organizational Leadership from Quinnipiac University. |

Brian G. Fernandes Vice President for Enrollment Management bfernandes@albertus.edu
Brian Fernandes has more than 30 years of experience in higher education, including
more than two decades as Vice President for Enrollment Management. Brian joined Albertus
Magnus College in 2023 and provides strategic leadership for the admissions, financial
aid and athletics functions of the College to enroll students who desire a values
and liberal arts based education. Prior to this, Brian served as Vice President for
Enrollment Management at Dominican University New York. His career also includes a
variety of roles at Iona University, NY, including as Assistant Dean for Graduate
Programs in the University’s School of Arts and Science, and Adjunct Professor of
Management teaching courses in management and leadership. Brian earned his MBA in
Organizational Behavior at Iona and received a Diploma in Personnel Management and
a B.Sc. in Physics from St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai, India. |

Andrew Foster Vice President for Student Affairs & Dean of Students afoster@albertus.edu
Andrew A. Foster has over 24 years’ experience working in Catholic Higher Education
Institutions. He joined the Albertus Magnus College community in 2005 from Fairfield
University, where he served as Sr. Associate Director of Financial Aid. Foster earned
a B.A. in Psychology from Sacred Heart University and a M.A. in Leadership from Albertus
Magnus College. Throughout his tenure at Albertus, he served as the Director of Financial
Aid, Dean for Student Services, and now serves as the Vice President for Student Affairs
and Dean of Students. As Vice President for Student Affairs, Andrew is responsible
for managing and providing strategic leadership and oversight for a variety of offices
within the full-time traditional undergraduate student affairs division. |

Andrea E. Kovacs Vice President for Marketing and Community Relations akovacs@albertus.edu
Andrea Kovacs is charged with developing and implementing a comprehensive communication
and marketing strategy that enhances the College’s public image; strengthens the Albertus
brand; and supports strategic initiatives. Andrea brings a diverse creative background
in communications, brand management, marketing, and fundraising to her work. Prior
to Albertus, Andrea directed the Annual Fund at Fairfield University; she was Sr.
Vice President for Marketing and Community Relations for United Way of Eastern Fairfield
County, also responsible for individual gift fundraising; she lived a previous life
in the fashion industry. Andrea earned her B.S. in Marketing from the Fashion Institute
of Technology (SUNY) and her M.A. in Leadership from Albertus Magnus College. |

Rosa E. Rivera-Hainaj, Ph.D. Vice President of Academic Affairs & Dean of Faculty rhainaj@albertus.edu
Dr. Rosa Rivera-Hainaj is a transformational higher education executive with over
two decades of experience driven by a servant-leadership philosophy and an unwavering
commitment to student success. Currently serving as Vice President for Academic Affairs
and Dean of the Faculty at Albertus Magnus College, she leads academic strategic innovation,
and successful grant initiatives, among others. Dr. Rivera-Hainaj’s national impact
includes serving on the National Academies of Science Committee on Defining Indicators
for STEM Undergraduate Education and as a reviewer for the National Science Foundation.
Previously, Dr. Rivera-Hainaj served as Provost at McDaniel College and held leadership
roles at Our Lady of the Lake University and Lorain County Community College. Her
distinguished career spans academic and administrative appointments at institutions
including Purdue University Northwest, James Madison University, and John Carroll
University. Dr. Rivera-Hainaj holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Case Western Reserve
University and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Puerto Rico – Mayagüez. |

Lauri Strimkovsky Vice President for Finance and Administration (VPFA) lstrimkovsky@albertus.edu
Lauri Strimkovsky supervises and leads the College’s business and finance areas, which
includes the bookstore/campus store, dining/food services, facilities operations,
human resources, and purchasing. Lauri brings more than three decades of finance and
administration experience in higher education, and last served as VPFA at sister Catholic
institution, John Carroll University in Ohio. Her deep background in this arena includes
vice president roles at Ohio Wesleyan University, Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia,
Moore College of Art and Design in Philly, and Clarkson College in Nebraska. Lauri
earned her BSBA in Accounting at Samford University in Birmingham, AL and her MBA
at the University of Missouri. |
