Press Release

Albertus Magnus College will host an Adult Undergraduate Instant Decision Day on Saturday, November 7, providing prospective adult students with personalized guidance on returning to college and achieving their educational goals.

The event will take place from 9:30 a.m. to noon in the Behan Community Room of the Hubert Campus Center at Albertus Magnus College in New Haven. Attendees can connect with the College’s Admissions, Academic Advising, and Financial Aid teams to explore degree options and receive individualized assistance with the enrollment process.

"At Albertus Magnus College, we believe it’s never too late to pursue your educational goals and create new opportunities for yourself and your family. As a close-knit, mission-driven Catholic liberal arts college, we take pride in getting to know our students, understanding their aspirations, and helping them find a path that works for their lives. Whether you’re beginning your college journey, transferring credits, or returning to complete a degree, our team is here to guide you, connect you with the resources you need, and support you every step of the way." — Andrea Kovacs, Vice President for Marketing and Community Relations

For prospective students, Instant Decision Day lets you explore how previous college coursework may count toward a degree and what steps you need to move forward. Completing a degree can also transform earning potential. According to data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, workers with a bachelor’s degree earn a median annual salary of roughly $80,236 (about $1,543 per week), compared to $48,360 (about $930 per week) for workers whose highest level of education is a high school diploma. Attendees can learn about Albertus’ four associate degree programs and 16 bachelor’s degree programs, receive assistance with applications and financial aid, and discuss transfer credit opportunities. Attendees are encouraged to bring their unofficial transcripts from high school or college for an estimated transfer credit review.

The event also recognizes the important role family plays in adult learners’ educational journey. Attendees are welcome to bring children, friends, or family members, with light breakfast refreshments and kid-friendly activities available.

About Albertus Magnus College

Founded in 1925, Albertus is a coeducational Catholic College in the Dominican tradition. Albertus’ values- and liberal arts-based education is recognized by external rankings such as US News & World Report, Money, and The New York Times, and has been named a Top 10 Military Friendly School. For ten consecutive years, at least 95% of Albertus graduates have attained employment or entered graduate studies within six months of completing their degrees. The College enrolls approximately 1,400 students across its traditional undergraduate, accelerated adult undergraduate, and graduate programs. Albertus Magnus College takes pride in a student body where nearly half of undergraduates are first-generation students and Pell Grant recipients. The College is recognized for its innovative curricula, featuring programs in General Health Sciences and Public Health, as well as its newest offerings: a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Connecticut’s first LPN-to-BSN program. Among its distinctive graduate offerings are Masters in Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, MBA, and the State of Connecticut’s only Master of Arts in Art Therapy and Counseling program.

As it begins a second century, Albertus is implementing a new strategic plan, The Centennial Plan: Crossing the Bridge to a Second Century, that advances its bold vision as a resilient, inclusive, and forward-looking Catholic institution in the Dominican tradition. Grounded in the liberal arts and the Dominican Pillars of Study, Prayer, Community, and Service, the College prepares students to think critically, lead ethically, and thrive through innovative, immersive learning experiences that empower them to make a meaningful impact in their communities and beyond.
