Press Release

Albertus Magnus College welcomed nearly 100 golfers to New Haven Country Club on June 29, 2026 for its 8th Annual Golf Classic, an event that raises essential scholarship funds to transform and empower lives through education, as Albertus has been doing for 100 years.

Thanks to the enormous generosity of Albertus alumni, friends, and businesses throughout the state, this year’s event garnered $125,000 in scholarship support. Since its inception, the Golf Classic has raised more than $700,000 to benefit deserving Albertus students. Now entering its Second Century of Excellence, scholarship support continues to be an institutional priority of Albertus, helping to attract outstanding students, make their college degree more affordable, and enabling them to concentrate more fully on their studies and full educational experience.

"Events like the Golf Classic bring together our alumni, friends, and business partners in support of a shared mission: expanding educational opportunities for deserving students. “Thanks to their continued generosity, we are able to provide scholarships that empower exceptional Albertus students to pursue their academic aspirations, realize their potential, and make a meaningful impact in their communities." — Kierran Broatch, Vice President for Advancment

Noble Wealth Advisors of Janney Montgomery Scott was the event’s Centennial Champion Sponsor and will also be featured prominently at the College’s Centennial Year Closing Celebration in September.
