Healthcare is one of the fastest growing employment fields and nurses in particular are in big demand. But what if you want to be a nurse yet your degree is not in nursing? Albertus Magnus College now has an answer.
Earn a Second Degree in Nursing (SDNU) by adding one additional year of coursework,
thanks to a unique partnership with Fairfield University.
Here’s how it works: Albertus students complete their undergraduate work. In many
cases, students who earn a Bachelor of Science in Biology or General Health Sciences
will meet eligibility. But no matter your major, you need to fulfill the following
requirements.
Students who complete one of the mentioned programs can then apply for the Accelerated Second Degree in Nursing program at Fairfield University and within 15 months, add a Second Degree Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Students will undertake a practicum course where they apply what they have learned in the classroom to a real-world scenario. This opportunity will allow students to gain valuable experience in the field and apply their learning in a professional setting.
