Women in Leadership Program

Albertus Magnus College is excited to announce the creation of the Lindy Lee Gold Women in Leadership Program, made possible through a generous gift from New Haven community leader and philanthropist Lindy Lee Gold. The multi-year commitment, made to the College through Gold’s charitable foundation, Amour Propre, supports Forever Albertus: The Centennial Campaign and expands the school’s efforts to provide transformative leadership development opportunities for its students.

What is involved?

The Gold Leadership Program

The program will empower female students with structured mentorship from faculty, alumni, and industry professionals, as well as hands-on leadership experiences and interactive workshops. Participants will develop skills in decision-making, communication, teamwork, and ethical leadership as they prepare to navigate their careers and positively impact their communities. Designed for students of all academic backgrounds, the program will integrate curricular and co-curricular learning to provide practical, real-world leadership opportunities.

Founded to expand opportunity and champion education for women, Albertus has shaped generations of leaders guided by faith, scholarship, and service. Lindy Lee Gold A New Haven native and longtime public servant and leader within the State of Connecticut, Gold began her career as an entrepreneur. Since 1998, she has served as a Senior Development Specialist at the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development, overseeing business retention, recruitment, and expansion, and representing the commissioner on workforce and education boards, including the Governor’s Commission on Women and Girls.
