The AMPower Fund

The AMPower Fund

The Class of 1997 has issued a challenge to other non-traditional graduates to help future students pursue an Albertus Magnus College education. The AMpower Fund intends to provide much needed financial assistance to non-traditional students and empower them to keep forging ahead on the path to a degree.

Larry Cole '97 and his wife Kathy created and kicked off this fund in the summer of 2016. "The New Dimensions program provided a path for me to obtain my degree, which empowered me to make changes in my life. I am proud of my alma mater for being a pioneer in providing diverse educational opportunities for working adults. Now retired it was time for me to reflect on what my degree meant personally and career wise. With my 20th reunion coming in 2017, I felt it was an opportune time to create a fund to help nontraditional students." - Larry Cole '97.

Former student-athlete Tabitha "Tab" Wazorko Manafort '94 was inspired to make a leadership gift to jump-start the fund in honor of her years at Albertus. "I am so proud to be able to give back to Albertus . . . My years at Albertus, were and continue to be, so very special to me. This donation is one way to show my deep and heartfelt 'thank you' to our alma mater. To be a part of the Mary Benevento Fund for Athletics makes it all the more special." - Tabitha "Tab" Wazorko Manafort '94.
