Admission Requirements & Materials

Five-year MBA Admission Requirements and Materials:

For admission into the program the applicant must be a current Albertus Magnus College Junior or Senior undergraduate student with a minimum G.P.A. of a 3.5 on a 4.0 system.

The following materials must be submitted to have an application for admission evaluated:

  1. A completed Application Form
  2. A non-refundable $50.00 Application Fee (made out to Albertus Magnus College)
  3. Official transcripts from any other institutions of higher learning previously attended, whether a degree was completed or not.
  4. Two letters of recommendation from former professors or professional associates.
  5. A written essay of 500 – 600 words, double spaced, detailing the applicant’s professional interests, reasons for applying to the program, and educational expectation (for placement purposes)
  6. Immunization form if born after December 31, 1956 and not previously submitted.

Requirements:

  1. The student undergraduate record must qualify for waivers in four graduate level courses. Course waivers are determined by the MBA Program Director.
  2. Upon admission to the MBA program, students must meet the graduate requirements for good standing as listed on page 41 of the graduate catalogue: “Students who maintain at least a 3.0 average and students who receive fewer than three course grades of C are considered in good standing”.
  3. At the time of acceptance, students will be assigned a MBA faculty advisor in addition to their undergraduate faculty advisor.

Students must meet all graduation requirements for both the BS and MBA Degrees as listed in the appropriate catalogues. Upon successful completion of all requirements, they will receive their MBA degree at commencement ceremonies the following May.
