Position Title: Academic Advisor
Department: School of New Dimensions – Student Services
Reports to: Director of Student Services

Department Overview: 

The Student Services department has four major functions: admissions and academic records, academic advisement, assessment of prior learning, and student services. The department works with financial aid and accounting offices to ensure compliance with College policies and Federal Government regulations. Directly supports enrolled students.

Position Overview: 

Assist undergraduate and graduate students in non-term degree completion programs. Responsible for academic and admissions advisement for all students throughout their academic program. Serve as a liaison between the students and the college with regard to policies and procedures.

Position Qualification: 

Higher education administration or counseling experience required. Experience working with an adult population from a diverse background preferred. Must possess excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication and organizational skills.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree Required.  Tuition Reimbursement for several Master’s Degrees available.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Ability to work independently, multi-task, identify priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to details. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, e-learning portals (specifically Moodle) preferred.

Work Schedule: 

Three days per week, 8:30 – 4:30; Two days per week, 10:30 – 6:30

Assistant Certified Athletic Trainer

The Albertus Magnus College athletic department is seeking 2 part-time Certified Athletic Trainers for the 10 varsity sport athletic program. The position is approximately 10-20 hours a week. Fall, winter, and spring sports include soccer, tennis, cross-country, basketball, softball, and baseball.

Qualifications:
Candidate must be certified by the NATA as a Certified Athletic Trainer. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Position Title: Associate Director of Financial Aid
Department: Financial Aid
Reports to: Director of Financial Aid

Department Overview: 

The Financial Aid Office at Albertus Magnus College provides counseling regarding financial aid and alternative financing options to admitted students; in an effort to make attending college affordable.

Position Overview: 

The Associate Director of Financial Aid is primarily responsible for overseeing the frontline day-to-day operations within the Financial Aid Office. The individual is also charged with supervising the Office’s Operations Assistants as well as providing default aversion counseling to borrowers at risk for default.

Basic Requirements: 

Bachelor's degree; 2-3 years of experience working in a financial aid office; technical proficiency with Microsoft Office suites, strong analytical skills; excellent written and verbal communication skill; ability to multitask and work well under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Title IV processing systems; supervisory experience; experience working with PowerFAIDS or Datatel Colleague System; involvement in student loan default aversion counseling.

Work Schedule: 

M-F, 8:30-4:30, some nights and weekends required.
