I believe in encouraging students to become better, more confident writers by helping them successfully negotiate the writing process. In my classes, I emphasize the steps of the writing process and provide my students with clear expectations and standards. I find ways to focus on the individual student in my class, since this allows me to help all my students, regardless of their writing skills, grow as writers in a diverse classroom.
